Permanent Lighting in Rocky Mount & Smith Mountain Lake

Smith Mountain Lake is the second-largest lake in Virginia and has around five hundred miles of shoreline, most of it private dock. Dock lighting is a regular part of our work and it is the main reason lake owners call us.

A lake house is usually three areas on one app: the street side, the lake side and the dock. On the dock we light deck perimeters, piling caps, lift bays and the underside of covered slips. Most people tell us the useful part is coming back to a lit slip after dark.

Two things move a dock quote more than the size of the dock: where the power comes from, and how we get equipment down to the water. A steep bank and a long run from the house change the price more than another twenty feet of decking. We quote a lot of work virtually, but on a dock it is usually better to come out and look.

Rocky Mount is a different job. Main Street storefronts and the older homes around town both light well, and a permanent install means the block stays lit for the tree lighting, the Fourth and the weeks in between without booking someone each season.
