Most residential installs take a single day. Larger homes, multi-zone installs, and commercial projects may take 2–3 days. We schedule around weather and your preferred timeline.

Trimlight LEDs are backed by a lifetime warranty on the lights themselves. If a bulb or LED segment fails under normal use, we replace it. Connections, channel, and accessories are covered under the standard product warranty.

Permanent LED lighting is professional-grade LED lights installed into a patented aluminum channel that hides under your roof line or trim. By day the system is virtually invisible. At night you can run holiday colors, accent white, security lighting, or custom scenes from an app on your phone.

Unlike traditional Christmas lights, it stays on the house year-round, so there is nothing to put up or take down.

Pricing depends on the linear feet of your roof line, the complexity of the install, and any add-on zones. Every install is custom-engineered, so we provide a free site visit and a flat-fee proposal, with no hourly billing and no surprise charges.

Financing is available for residential and commercial projects.

Trimlight offers three standard LED spacing options: 6 inch (brightest, densest), 9 inch (the most popular, and the best balance of brightness and cost), and 12 inch (most economical, still bright). We'll recommend the right spacing for your home during the quote.

Every Trimlight system is controlled by a free app on your phone (iOS and Android). Pick scenes, set schedules, dim or brighten, and create custom color combinations. Most customers set a default evening scene and only open the app for special occasions.

LEDs are extremely energy-efficient. A typical residential install adds just a few dollars per month to your electric bill, even running nightly. That is roughly 90% less electricity than traditional incandescent Christmas lights.

The patented channel system (US Patent 8,926,118) tucks under your roof line so it's virtually invisible from the street. Most homeowners and their neighbors can't tell the lights are there until they're turned on at night.

Earlier than most people think. Our October through December calendar fills through late summer, and HOA approval and weather both take time out of the schedule.

Booking in late spring or early summer gets you the best availability and our off-season pricing. If you are calling in November, still call, but ask us what is actually left.

Our minimum install is $2,000. The front of a typical home runs $2,500 to $4,000. Landscape and architectural work starts at $2,000 and usually lands between $2,000 and $4,000. Event lighting starts at $2,500.

Every number depends on the house. Roof height, footage, pitch and access all move it. Most quotes we do virtually, and we come out in person when you want us to. Financing through Wisetack runs up to 36 months with same-as-cash options.

Yes. Docks are a regular part of our work. We light deck perimeters, piling caps, lift bays and covered slips, at Moneta, Union Hall, Penhook and around the rest of the shoreline.

We quote docks virtually where we can, and come out in person when the power run or the water access needs a closer look. Those two drive the price more than the size of the dock does.

Yes, and it is one of the first things people ask. Enter the exact RGB values in the app and save them, whether that is Hokie maroon and orange, Liberty red and blue, Radford green, or your high school's colors.

Save it as a pattern and put it on a Saturday timer. It goes on for the game and back to whatever you normally run afterwards, without you touching anything.

Nearly always, and we help with the paperwork. The channel is color-matched to your trim or gutter and reads as a shadow line from the street, which is what most architectural review committees want to see.

If your community has a review process, tell us early. It is the part of the timeline most likely to slip, and it is much easier to submit before your install date is booked than after.

We cover four areas that do not sit in a neat circle. The Roanoke Valley, including Salem, Hollins, Troutville and Blue Ridge. The New River Valley, including Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Radford. The Lynchburg area, including Forest, Timberlake and Madison Heights. And Smith Mountain Lake, including Rocky Mount, Union Hall and Penhook. We also serve Bedford and Martinsville.

Blacksburg and Lynchburg are both around fifty minutes from Roanoke, in opposite directions, so we plan routes rather than pretend everything is close. If you are near the edge of that, call 540.300.1551 and we will tell you straight away.

We do. Trimlight's lifetime product warranty covers the entire system, not just the lights, against manufacturer defects. We cover the labor on warranty work for five years after your install, and there is no trip or tech fee for it.
